Nestled beside Whitehall Gardens, The Royal Horseguards Hotel is unveiling its English country garden terrace for the summer season. Opening its doors on 12th May, the terrace will offer Londoners a rare tranquil, secret garden escape, just off the River Thames, in the heart of central London.
Set to be the must-visit, in-the-know destination of the summer, the quintessentially english country garden style terrace is a nod to the rich heritage of the The Royal Horseguards building, which has previously played host to Winston Churchill, Lloyd- George and the first chief of Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service.
With a live growing tomato wall, allotments and sweeping views over The London Eye and beyond, The Terrace at The Royal Horseguards Hotel is where alfresco dining meets timeless heritage. A secluded haven, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, The Terrace will provide a charming spot for all occasions, from leisurely lunches to intimate dinners and lively evening gatherings.
Relaxed, yet refined, the alfresco charm of the inviting garden terrace is complete with comfy wicker sofas, blankets and country garden decor. From fresh salads to classic British favourites like Fish & Chips, The Terrace brings together the finest ingredients. Favourites on the summer menu include Pan Seared Seabass and the Grilled Lamb Cutlet, or Super Food Salad and “Sumac” Roasted Butternut Squash for a lighter option.
The Terrace can also be sectioned off as required to make for a flexible outdoor venue, with direct access to the award-winning Whitehall Gardens, the adjoining Terrace room and One Twenty One Two restaurant. Also available for private hire throughout the Summer, our Terrace is a great location for parties, events and private barbeques.
